Short Term Rehabilitation

We offer professional rehabilitative services with a sterling reputation for its advanced capabilities, knowledge and state-of-the-art technology to help you get back to feeling better as quickly as possible. Our program is designed to promote good health, prevent injury or disability, and improve or sustain muscle strength to help you achieve and maintain the maximum level of functional performance and self-reliance. Five days a week, our respected, licensed therapists are ready to help. They serve not only our residents, but the greater community of Metro Washington, D.C.

Services Include

Physical Therapy to prevent the onset or slow the progression of conditions resulting from injury, disease, and physical trauma. Treatment can improve endurance, increase mobility, range of motion, strength, and help manage joint and muscle pain. Our therapists also provide orthotic fitting of the lower extremities and consults on appropriate foot wear.

Occupational Therapy to improve and maintain functional independence in the activities of daily living: mobility and transfers, toileting, bathing, dressing, eating, and cooking. Our therapists also provide services for proper wheel chair seating and positioning and in-home assessments for safety to determine if environmental modifications are needed.

Speech-Language Therapy to improve and maintain cognitive communication skills: orientation, memory, attention, sequencing, problem solving, reasoning, judgment, safety awareness, pragmatic appropriateness, and executive function, such as planning. Our therapists also address respiratory support for speech, auditory comprehension, and oral motor strengthening for eating and swallowing. We provide treatment for voice quality and articulation related to speech. Our team collaborates with physicians, nursing, dietary, and other professionals to provide the latest in comprehensive integrated health care.
