Senior Leadership


Ingleside at Rock Creek is proud to be under the guidance and vision of our Leadership team, comprised of a group of highly qualified professionals from fields such as education, medical, health care administration, finance and government. These dedicated individuals strive to ensure adherence to our stated values. Direction and priorities of the community are set and influenced by this leadership team, the work of which helps ensure continued focus on our standing as a not-for-profit 501(c)3 entity to the interests of the community and residents of Ingleside at Rock Creek.

 

Catherine Scott

Catherine Scott   
Executive Director

Catherine has over 30 years' experience managing various types of senior housing and programs. Catherine served in executive capacities with organizations including The Presbyterian Homes of NJ (now Springpoint) and Sunrise Senior Living. Throughout her career Catherine has been a member of Leading Age affiliates and worked collaboratively with Leading Age in her position as Senior Vice President for Public Policy with the Assisted Living Federation of America (ALFA). Catherine was a founding board member for the Maryland Assisted Living Association (now LifeSpan). She holds an MBA in Health and Medical Services Administration from Widener University, and is a Licensed Nursing Home Administrator.

 

 

Kristin Shanks

Director of Sales

Since March 2010 Kristin has been assisting the residents of Ingleside in finding their new home. She is a University of Maryland graduate with over 15 years of sales experience. "Most often I am one of the first points of contact for prospective residents. So many questions arise for my clients. They wonder if they're making the right decision or possibly giving up their independence." she says. "It is such a fantastic feeling seeing someone, first hesitant at moving, become a social butterfly or the head of a resident committee in a matter of weeks".

 

 

Carol Lassiter  
Assistant Administrator

Carol has served Ingleside at Rock Creek for over seven years, most recently as Director of Resident Services for Independent Living. Carol has a BS Degree in Healthcare Management and is currently pursuing her certification for Assisted Living Manager. She utilizes her leadership and management skills to ensure all staff have a caring heart and are as compassionate about our residents and families as she is. Her empathy and concern for our residents and families is unsurpassed!

 

Timothy Tivvis
Director of Dining Services

Tim is a graduate of the Culinary Institute of America and has had the unique opportunity to work as a Chef in Italy, Florida, New York City, and South Africa. Tim's passion for people is as strong as his passion for food and he understands how they both interact to create the best dining experience possible. He is the youngest of four, two older sisters and a twin brother. Tim enjoys eating all flavors of ice cream and spending time with his wife, Julie who works for NIST as a Ph.D. Chemist.

 

Stephanie Galvez

Senior Accountant 

Stephanie Galvez is the Senior Accountant for Ingleside at Rock Creek. She oversees all the accountings for the community and among her responsibilities are to ensure general ledger accountability, and financial reporting, as well as financial profitability analysis. Stephanie has a BBA in Marketing from a university in Panama, where she is originally from and she is in her last semester of completing her MBA with a concentration in accounting from University of Dallas. Before moving to Washington, D.C. in July 2014, Stephanie was living in Houston, Texas for 7 years. She considers herself a travel enthusiast. Australia, Italy, Spain, Argentina, Peru are among the countries that she has visited.

 

 

Dana Olson

Dana Olson   
Chaplain 

Dana supports the spiritual life at Ingleside at Rock Creek: caring for residents, leading interfaith studies, organizing and leading worship services and inviting guest leaders. She helps residents connect with their religious traditions, values, and what's meaningful to them. Dana graduated from Ripon College and Wesley Theological Seminary, in-between she worked at nonprofits and volunteered in Guatemala for a year. She completed her chaplain residency at MedStar Washington Hospital Center in DC. Dana and her husband, Zeke, enjoy going on adventures with their dog, Daisy.

 

 

Dana Olson

Teresa Hernandez, PHR, SHRM-CP   
Director of Human Resources 

Teresa has over 15 years of experience in the hospitality Human Resources field. She has a BA from Catholic University and a Masters from Georgetown University in International HR. Teresa loves working with and servicing Ingleside employees, ensuring that all work together and have fun in the process. A native of Spain, she loves to travel, read and exercise in her free time.

 

 

Dana Olson

Franc Cooper   
Executive Assistant 

Franc has worked in healthcare administration for 15 years, the last 8 years at The Washington Home providing support to the Board, Executive, and Senior Management teams. Franc is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives, the Golden Key International Honor Society, and the Antique Phonograph Society. He has collected and restored more than 20 antique phonographs, including several Edison, Columbia, Pathé, Victrola, and Puck models.

Franc is currently completing a degree in Health Systems Management at George Mason University.
